Admission Requirements
Students
must have completed a Master’s Degree in one of the following:
- Science
- Engineering
- Allied
Discipline
Students in
the first year of a Master’s Degree may apply for transfer into the PhD in
Biotechnology provided that they have successfully completed 1 FCE of course
work and have had their research proposal approved by their thesis committee.

fill out the Graduate Studies Application Form.
Application Process
Applications to the PhD program in Biotechnology are all completed online through the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Follow the application process as outlined on the website.

Application Deadlines
Although applications are accepted on a continual basis, we recommend that interested applicants submit a complete applicaiton package by the following dates:
- For a Fall start (September) February 1
- For a Winter start (January) September 30
- For a Spring start (May): January 31
